Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is presently two years through the four-year contract he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the initial important trophy of his illustrious career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he previously was, and would definitely think about extending his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
