Large-scale Russian Assaults Eliminate Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with interruptions to water systems, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has intensified attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, European nations and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and implementing penalties," mentioned in a public message.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen rockets struck energy facilities, describing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region endured significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were wounded.

The assaults come after evenings of aerial attacks in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The entire country is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to spot.

National leaders told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the country's energy grid, with attacks already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
